Newton Labs was founded in 1992 by members of its current management team to exploit the high speed color machine vision technology developed for a robotics project at the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.

That original technology has grown today into a complete line of high performance vision, optical automation and robotics products servicing many different industries. Newton Labs has over 20,000 installations world wide.
